Early Light Films is a one-person film business run by Adam Thayer in San Diego, California. This page explains what information I collect, why, and what I do with it. Short version: I collect only what I need to reply to you and plan your film, and I don't sell it to anyone.
What I collect
When you fill in a form: your name, email address, the date and location you're considering, and anything else you choose to tell me. Forms on this site are processed by Formspree, which delivers the submission to my inbox.
When you book a call: your name, email, and the details you enter, handled by Cal.com and added to my Google Calendar.
When you browse: if analytics is enabled, standard usage data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is collected through Google Analytics and Google Ads, which use cookies. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services. I do not see your name or email in analytics.
Why I collect it

What I don't do
I don't sell your information. I don't share it with anyone except the services listed above that are needed to run the business. I don't add you to a newsletter or a marketing sequence — if you hear from me, it's me writing to you.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into bookings are kept for about two years, in case you come back. Booking records, contracts, and invoices are kept as long as tax and business record-keeping requires. You can ask me to delete your information sooner.
Your film
If you book, how your finished film may be used is set out in our contract, not here. Founding-rate bookings include permission to show the work; standard bookings don't unless you agree separately. If you've asked me to keep your film private, I will.
Your rights
If you live in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information I hold about you, to ask for it to be deleted, to ask for a copy, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. I don't sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

Cookies
This site uses cookies only for analytics and advertising measurement, and only if those are enabled. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. There is no cookie banner because nothing here depends on tracking you.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
